Mr. Lacey is the founder and Chairman of Cervus Equipment Corporation (TSX: CERV), a Canadian public company headquartered in Calgary, AB. Cervus comprises 63 equipment dealerships located across Western Canada and Ontario, representing John Deere agricultural equipment, Peterbilt Truck dealerships, and material handling dealerships. Cervus also operates John Deere dealerships in Australia and New Zealand. Annual sales exceeded $1.1 billion for Cervus in 2019.

Mr. Lacey has most recently served as Lead Director for Entrec Corporation and Audit Committee Chairman for Memex Inc., two other Canadian public companies, as well as director for several other private companies. Mr. Lacey served on the Red Deer College Board of Governors for seven years and as Chairman of the Board of Governors for four years. Mr. Lacey also served on the Red Deer College Foundation Board, before his appointment to the Board of Governors, and the committee to fund the Library Information Commons at the College.

Mr. Lacey also served as a director and past President on the Board of Canada West Equipment Dealers Association, a trade association serving the farm equipment dealer industry in Western Canada. In 2014 Mr. Lacey was recognized as “Dealer of the Year” and recently received his ICD.D designation from the Rotman School of Business and the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Peter is a long-term resident of the community of Red Deer and is involved in a variety of community activities, including Rotary Club, Ski Club, Public School Advisory Boards, Trade Associations, and various City of Red Deer Boards and Committees. Along with his wife, Kathy, Mr. Lacey has been a long-term financial supporter and volunteer for the Red Deer Regional Hospital and Red Deer Public Schools. They are also active with A Better World organization that provides partnership solutions in several third world countries. Peter and Kathy have assisted in building a school and two medical clinics in Kenya and are supporting a Women’s Empowerment group in Kenya, providing loans for agricultural projects. Mr. Lacey is also chairman of the board of a commercial farm in Uganda. When not working, Mr. Lacey enjoys golfing, skiing, boating, reading, traveling, and assisting others in creating solutions to help themselves.
